FreeSo, you got an Apple Watch for the Holidays! Now What? with Michael Jay
If you received a Watch as a holiday gift, and are wondering what it can do, this workshop will help you get started! Join instructor Michael Jay, certified Apple Teacher, for this interactive 90-minute workshop that will cover some of the basics for new Watch users, including how to get started, and the main functions you should be aware of. Apple’s Watch is wildly popular with those who have embraced it, for its many valuable functions beyond telling the time: detection of falls, with automatic emergency calling/ activity tracking, monitoring of heart rate and blood oxygen level; plus, many of the functions of the iPhone (including calls, without having your phone nearby!) But, setup and operation can be daunting for first-time users.
Some of the topics covered in this workshop include: Pairing your watch with your iPhone; cellular models, and the ability to make calls without your iPhone; customizing the Watch face; health and fitness (including Fall Detection and SOS …); Siri and dictation; App management; and the various modes of Watch, including finishes and accessories. We’ll also show the settings needed in your iPhone and its Watch app, and will take time to address issues on attendees’ devices.
Bring your Apple Watch and your iPhone, so you can follow along, adjust your settings, and share your specific questions.
