Witches in CT – A Shepaug Libraries Event
October 15, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Hosted by Gunn Memorial Library
More than a generation before the infamous Salem Witch Trials, Connecticut went through a wave of witch trials and executions. Though largely lost to history now, Connecticut led the way in colonial America on investigating, prosecuting and executing witches. Jason Scappaticci will facilitate this discussion. Scappaticci is a CT Native and currently serves his third term on the Manchester CT Board of Education. He has a passion for history and enjoys sharing that passion with others. He earned his BA in History from Utica College and his MA from Trinity College in American Studies. He is the Associate Dean of Student Affairs at Capital Community College and loves that he gets to go to work every day in the historic G. Fox building.
