Safety and civility in the digital age

Microsoft has been conducting digital civility research for the past five years.  This talk will focus on what we learned about online civility and risks in 2020 and how COVID-19 affected perceptions of civility or incivility online.  What role do social media, video calling, and other forms of online communications play in our online — and offline — lives?  And how can we support a more informed, more respectful, and more welcoming community of users in the digital age?
