The Evolution of Empathy: Our Heritage, Our Future

Tamsin Looker Ph.D. will explore the evolution of the human capacity of empathy, it’s rich biological and cultural heritage and it’s role in health and survival. her talk will draw on relevant research in human attachment, neuroscience, anthropology and animal studies. She will provide elucidation of the scientific literature with stories from her own work as a psychotherapist.
