Tech-Help Series: Empower Yourself With Your iPhone or iPad
September 18, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Empower yourself with your iPhone or iPad
Come join the fun for this easy, interactive workshop. Whether you’re new to Apple products, or are already comfortable with your iPhone or iPad, this non-technical group session will reveal many features you may not know of; supply tips so you can get the most out of your device; and show you solutions to the most common mistakes made by newer users. You’ll be able to get live answers to your specific questions – and, above all, learn to empower yourself with your own technology.
We’ll discuss:
How to customize your device via the Settings menu
Apple ID – and why you need one
iCloud: how and why to use it, for sync and backup
Siri: why you really should become friends with her (or him!)
App Store: how to search for and acquire “apps”
Battery life, and how to get the most out of your power storage
Dictation, and the ability to “write” emails or texts without that tiny keyboard ! Making the display larger, and easier to view
Basic troubleshooting – on your own, or with Apple’s help
WiFi calling, and how to receive calls even in areas that have no cell reception
…and the answers to your own top questions
We’ll also help you download and setup the library’s Hoopla app, giving you easy access to movies and music.
Let a former Apple Store specialist and technology tutor with years of experience show you the important functions you should know, and the shortcuts that might otherwise take months to discover on your own. Bring your iPhone or iPad to gain some new tricks, and learn how to make better use of these amazing devices. Participation is limited to 8 patrons, so registration is required.
