Memory Book Workshop
November 2 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeSponsored by the Connecticut Community Foundation, Part of our Brain Health Series
Join us for a heartfelt Memory Book Workshop designed to preserve and spark memories, and build connections between loved ones. More than just photo albums, memory books are powerful tools that capture moments in time, emotions, and tell stories of a person’s life that can be shared for generations. This program is open to all but designed to be dementia-friendly, as these books can be beneficial to those experiencing memory loss, and help spark conversation and memory.
Event Highlights:
- Memory Activation: Create a personalized memory book to evoke cherished memories and promote conversation.
- Family Bonding: Families are encouraged to work on a memory book together. Share stories and create a keepsake that can bridge the gap between generations, fostering deeper connections.
- Crafting Made Easy: Bring your favorite photos, memorabilia, recipes, and drawings. We’ll provide craft materials and ideas to help you bring your memory book to life.
- Photography Support: We’ll have a camera on hand to help print any images directly from your phone or device.
Whether you’re starting a memory book for yourself or a loved one, this workshop is an opportunity to preserve stories that matter and connect through shared experiences.
This program is for all ages. Registration is required. RSVP below. Questions? Email Katie at ksteele@burnhamlibrary.org.
