SUMMARY:Virtual Author Talk: Renowned Therapy Expert Mark Wolynn
DESCRIPTION:How Inherited Family Trauma Shapes Who We Are (and How to End the Cycle) with Renowned Therapy Expert Mark Wolynn\nInternational Bestselling Author and Winner of the 2016 Silver Nautilus Book Award in Psychology \nREGISTER & SUBMIT QUESTIONS HERE \nvia Digital Livestream or on Demand \nHow do the experiences of our ancestors influence our thoughts and behaviors today? In his award-winning book\, It Didn’t Start with You\, author Mark Wolynn shares compelling evidence that the roots of our anxiety\, phobias\, and chronic pain may not reside in our immediate life experience or in chemical imbalances in our brains—but in the lives of our parents\, grandparents\, and even great-grandparents. And now\, The Official It Didn’t Start with You Workbook is available with practical exercises to take your understanding even further. \nThe latest scientific research supports what many have long intuited—that traumatic experiences can be passed down through generations. Even if the person who suffered the original trauma has died\, or the story has been forgotten or silenced\, memory and feelings can live on. These emotional legacies are often hidden\, encoded in everything from gene expression to everyday language\, and they play a far greater role in our emotional and physical health than has ever before been understood. \nAs a pioneer in the field of inherited family trauma\, Mark Wolynn has worked with individuals and groups on a therapeutic level for over twenty years. It Didn’t Start with You is a transformative approach to resolving longstanding difficulties that in many cases\, traditional therapy\, drugs\, or other interventions have not had the capacity to touch. \nRegister today to join our virtual conversation and learn more about how inherited family trauma impacts your health–and how to break the cycle. \nAbout the Author: \nMark Wolynn (accent on “l‎‎ynn”) is a leading expert in the field of inherited family trauma. He’s the director of The Family Constellation Institute in the US and is renowned for his work that bridges epigenetics\, neuroscience\, and somatic healing\, and shows how the traumas of our parents\, grandparents\, and even great grandparents\, can live in our bodies as unexplained depression\, anxiety\, obsessive thoughts\, and chronic health conditions. His book It Didn’t Start with You is an international bestseller\, which has sold more than three million copies worldwide. It won the Silver Nautilus Book Award for Psychology and has been translated into 40 languages. Mark has just released the 2025 revised edition of It Didn’t Start with You and The Official It Didn’t Start with You Workbook.

SUMMARY:July Artist: Carol O'Toole "Panoply" Reception
DESCRIPTION:Carol O’Toole “Panoply”\nOn view during library hours. \nReception\, Sunday\, June 28 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm \n“Panoply\,” an exhibition of paintings by Carol O’Toole\, whose vibrant works reflect a lifetime of creativity\, travel\, and artistic exploration. The exhibition runs June 28 through July 30. \nO’Toole began her creative journey in ballet and modern dance — disciplines whose sense of movement and flow continue to influence her visual art. Working in acrylics and pastels since age 20\, she creates landscapes\, floral studies\, wildlife scenes\, and village settings inspired by her travels. \nThe collection captures the sparkling colors of Florida\, the tropical beauty of St. Croix\, and the vivid streetscapes of Mexico\, where she spent several winters immersed in local culture. Through her work\, viewers are invited to experience the beauty and energy of these places. \n“This collection invites viewers to share the journeys\, experiences\, and inspirations that have shaped my art\,” says O’Toole. \nO’Toole’s paintings have been exhibited in libraries\, galleries\, and outdoor venues throughout Connecticut and St. Croix. She and her husband\, Larry\, have called Washington Depot\, Connecticut\, home while also living in Florida\, Maryland’s Eastern Shore\, Washington\, D.C.\, and aboard a sailboat in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Together they raised three daughters and have nine grandchildren. \nO’Toole holds degrees in art education and holistic health and is licensed in acupuncture and massage therapy. \nCarol O’Toole at cotoolelac2@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Virtual Author Talk: Apocalyptic Mayhem\, Lava-Spitting Llamas\, and One Very Sassy Cat: Surviving the Universe’s Most Twisted RPG with Matt Dinniman
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER & SUBMIT QUESTIONS HERE \nvia Digital Livestream or on Demand \nHold onto your heart-patterned boxers! Matt Dinniman\, New York Times bestselling author of the wildly popular (and just plain wild) Dungeon Crawler Carl series\, joins us to chat about his latest book\, A Parade of Horribles. \nAs chaos and mass panic spread outside the dungeon in the wake of Faction Wars\, Carl and Donut find themselves on the tenth floor\, where they’re forced to compete in a surprisingly normal set of tasks. Well\, normal for the dungeon. \nRaces. Get from point A to point B\, and don’t come in last. After each race\, they pick an upgrade for their vehicle and the track gets more challenging. It all seems a little too normal\, a little too simple. \nIgnore those strange glitches that are occurring with increasing frequency. Don’t listen to those whispers about what’s happening on the mysterious eleventh floor\, something the system AI calls A Parade of Horribles. Nobody\, not even the showrunners\, knows what that means. Just that the AI has ominously dubbed it “a coming-out party for the ages.” \nEverything is fine\, Crawler. I repeat\, everything is fine. \nCarl hates that it’s business as usual. The rules of this floor have taken away his agency. That just will not do. \nSo Carl is planning a party of his own. It’s a plan so dangerous\, so insane\, he can’t even consult his friends lest the AI put a stop to it. Because if it goes wrong\, it’s not just the end of Carl and Donut. No. The stakes are higher than they’ve ever been. \nRegister now for a fun-filled discussion you won’t want to miss! \nAbout the Author: \nMatt Dinniman is a writer and artist from Gig Harbor\, Washington. He is the author of the New York Times bestselling Dungeon Crawler Carl series along with several other books about the end of the world. \nHe doesn’t really hate Cocker Spaniels\, and he plays bass in one band.
