Burnham Bunch Storytime – Storytime and activity for ages 2-5. Wednesday or Thursday sessions from 10:30 – 11:00. Winter/Spring session runs from February – May. Registration is required and begins December 21st.

Storytime is cancelled if Region 12 schools are closed or have a delayed opening due to inclement weather.

Are You Curious? - Kindergarteners and 1st Graders! Hands-on activities and explorations await you at the library. Second Wednesday of the month from 3:15 – 4:00. Registration is required.
  Fetch! Science Club- Join us for fun hands-on science activities, just like those on the PBS show Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman. The club involves, independent or team projects  to solve science challenges for points and prizes! First Wednesday of the month from 3:15 – 4:15. Registration is required.
Burnham Gaming Club- NEW Burnham Gaming Club for K – Grade 5. Learn and play popular board games and chess in this casual after-school club. Chess Tournaments and special Wii and board game days will pop-up along the way. Are you ready for the challenge? Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:00 from September – May.
Unnamed and Untamed Readers - Book discussion group for girls in Grades 3-5. Monthly meetings, the last Wednesday of the month from 3:15 – 4:15. Registration is required.

FAQs and guidelines

  • All programs are sponsored by The Friends of the Burnham Library. Become a Friend.
  • Registration is first come first served.
  • Children must be the age indicated in the program outline.
  • You can register by in-person, by phone, or online.
  • Programs are open to all and are not limited to residents of Bridgewater.
  • REQUIREMENT FOR AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES : In order for Burnham students to be escorted from school by a staff member, parents must present a permission-note to the school office on the day of the after-school library activity. Burnham Gaming Club participants can furnish one permission-note for the school year. It is the parents’ responsibility to inform the school office if your child will not be attending a specific Thursday.
  • Inclement Weather Policy: If Region 12 has a delayed opening due to weather, then AM programs are cancelled. If early dismissial or cancellation, then PM programs are cancelled.
